
Peyton Prohuska is a student as UW-Madison (graduating 2025) earning a B.A in Art History with certificates in History and Life Science Communication. After undergrad, she will be returning to UW-Madison to pursue a Master of Library and Information Science with a focus on archival studies. She was inspired to write this piece by her position as a student researcher through UW-Madison’s Center for Campus History where she researches campus traditions. OBJECT HISTORY: Statue of Liberty
While the relocation of the Statue of Liberty from Liberty Island to Madison was an obvious impossibility, Varjian and Mallon of UW-Madison's Pail & Shovel Party found a creative way to deliver to students after they were elected.
